Terrain
Hiking at Carnarvon Gorge requires negotiating a number of creek crossings via stepping stones, so good balance is essential. There are staircases in and out of many of the major sites. The first and last 3 km of the main walking track follows a series of three ridge lines, so there are stairs, up and down, in both directions.
