Visit the Art Gallery, Amphitheatre, and Moss Garden with Carnarvon Gorge's most experienced guides.

Hunt for wildlife and unusual plants as you meander along the Gorge floor, and then discover the ceremonial meaning behind the Gorge's 4000 year old rock art.

Read the Amphitheatre's hidden clues into the formation of the Gorge's rocks, before seeing the same geology in action as you follow the long journey of the ancient water dripping from the walls of the of the Moss Garden.

Duration: 8 - 9 hours.

Distance: 14 kilometres. 

Terrain: 16 creek crossings via stepping stones, so good balance is essential. Staircases in and out of the three major sites. The first and last 3 km negotiate a series of three ridge lines, so there are stairs, up and down, in both directions.

Includes: We'll boil the billy at lunch time! Tea and coffee provided.

BYO: Hand sanitiser, lunch, water, snacks, hat, walking shoes, weather appropriate clothing & camera. Hiking poles will also be handy if you are concerned about your balance on the creek crossings. Optional - spare socks in the event you get wet feet.

Are you up for a bit of adventure? Strap on your hiking boots, and leave the track and crowds behind, as you explore some of the Gorge's secret sites that few will ever get to see.

We can only offer this unique opportunity once per week, to just six lucky walkers, making it our most exclusive experience.

Duration: 8 - 9 hours.

Distance: 15+ kilometres.

Terrain: The first and last section of this walk is on a formed track. The middle section (approximately 5-6 hours) is spent rock-hopping on uneven terrain, crossing the creek many times. Good balance is essential.  

Group size: Min 2 - Max 6 (Due to the sensitive nature of the locations visited on this tour, and restrictions imposed by our Commercial Activity Permit, a group size greater than 6 is not possible).

Recommended Equipment: Hiking poles are handy for extra stability on uneven terrain (of which there is a lot). Long trousers/gaiters and long sleeves will help reduce scratches, scrapes and cuts from rough plants and rocks.
